Description

Electronics Test Technician - Aylesbury - 6 month contract - up to 24 ph
This is for an initial 6 month contract with an aerospace division of a major international engineering company.
Rate - up to 24 ph
3 x Technicians required
Responsibilities:
Purpose:

RF and Electronics testing of Space Products
Production testing to defined test procedures
Fault finding to component level
Preparation of test reports and test procedures
Tune and test of analogue, digital and RF circuits
Tune and test of microwave components and sub-assemblies
Preparation of controlled test documentation (test procedures, test reports, etc) in line with quality system
Utilise company SAP system to record time and test results and raise any non-conformance notifications
Compliance to the company's Quality Management System
Compliance to the company's Health and Safety Policy

Note you may be required to work shifts (double day pattern) if workload demands require it.
Requirements:
HNC/HND Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Proven background in space/aerospace electronics/defence industry.
In depth tuning and testing knowledge of passive assemblies including OMUX's, Filters, switch assemblies, circulators etc.
Ability to fault find to component level.
Fully conversant with all common RF test equipment.
Set-up and de-bugging of manual and ATE test systems conforming to space-flight approved formal test procedures.
EMC, TVAC, High power and environmental testing.
Methodical and Disciplined approach
Competent user of standard test equipment
Knowledge of Digital and Analogue test techniques
Knowledge of RF and Microwave test methods
Desirable:
Some development engineering would be an advantage.
Familiarity with use and configuration of ATE test systems including LabVIEW, Test Stand, etc.
Basic mechanical assembly and/or soldering skills.
Computer literate and conversant with common office applications
