Solution Architect - Feasibility Project (Java Fat Client, Web Based Application Migration)
A Solution Architect is required for a feasibility project for my client in central Brussels, who are looking to migrate from a standalone Java Fat Client Application (not web based) to a Web based application with improved UX & UI.
My client is looking for a Solution Architect - (Java Fat Client, Web Based Application Migration project) that can evaluate the different ways to migrate, reviewing existing code, architecture and current team; Carrying out a feasibility study looking at the advantages and disadvantages and creating a Roadmap for this migration project.
Required experience:
- Analyse existing architecture, code and team
- Evaluate different ways to migrate
- Feasibility studies - looking at the advantages and disadvantages
- Create Roadmap
- Work with the UI/UX team to improve current UI/UX
Current Technology Environment:
- Fat client Java App developed on Java7 that communicates to a Tomcat Server
- Interface built off a mirror of windows that has compatibility issues
- Would like the new app to be tablet accessible
This project is not due to start until August and will last approx. 4 months. Project language is English
