IT Security Engineer III
Atlanta, GA 30338
Contract - 5-6 months
$55-60/hr
Job Description:
Strong background in Splunk, Siem, and Logging infrastructure (Installing, Managing, and Maintaining)
Specialized knowledge of Linux OS and administration.
Experience in automation.
Knowledge in compliance procedures and protocols for Internal audit.
Strong security background.
Troubleshoot and repair issues with operating systems and security applications.
Install, configure and maintain security controls such as intrusion detection systems, packet capture devices, data loss prevention tools, anti-virus/anti-malware and other commercial off the shelf and open source security tools.
Assist the Security Engineering Team with evaluation of new and emerging security tools and technologies.
Work with vendors to fix and improve installed security tools.
Assist the Security Architecture Team with the installation, configuration and maintenance of VMware products (vCenter, ESXi, NSX, etc).
Desired Experience:
-10+ years of system administration experience
-5+ years information security experience
-Working knowledge of Scripting languages python and/or Perl
-Experience with monitoring IDS/IPS, AV, DLP, etc in a large enterprise environment
-Experience with VMware infrastructure components (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSA/vCNS, etc)
-Knowledge of Puppet is a plus

a) Previous experience - mix of 5+ years of information security experience and 10+ years system admin experience.
5) What is the environment this person will be working in? Mostly working on the phone, skype. Group environment but will be the only person on his/her team at the Atlanta site.
6) Does this position offer the ability to work remotely on a regular basis or is it an on-site role? If remote opportunity exists, what exactly are the options? (ie 1 day remote, 4 days in the office). Flexible once they're settled in
