Data Quality Operator - Contract role

Role

The Data Quality Operator will be responsible for supporting the on-going maintenance of the Register to improve data quality. The role will undertake data remediation activities to resolve data quality and integrity issues arising from the automated data matching processes of the Register. The role will report to the Data Quality Operations Manager.

Location

North Road, Finglas, Dublin.

Where travel is required this will normally be within Ireland.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Resolve data quality incidents and issues, on an on-going basis, adhering to standard operating procedures and business processes
  • Undertake manual data activities necessary to resolve any issues identified through automated data matching processes such as:

    • matching exceptions
    • death matching failure resolution
    • exception issues relating to incorrect, missing or conflicting information
    • duplicates flagged from automated data uploads removed
  • Complete manual processes to address requests to change data raised by the Data Quality Operations Manager
  • Conduct data quality duties in line with the Data Quality Framework for the Register
  • Support the maintenance of the Data Quality Framework for the Register
  • Support the implementation of data quality initiatives for the Register
  • Participate in the overall delivery of unit functions in the Business Service
  • Have a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards as they apply to the role for example, Standards for Healthcare, National Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections, Hygiene Standards etc and comply with associated HSE protocols for implementing and maintaining these standards as appropriate to the role.

Experience

  • Experience in the day-to-day operations of data in various formats.
  • Experience working with one or more of the following; registers, record indexes, databases, or workflow tools and processes.
  • Experience working within an evolving and complex environment.
  • Experience working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge

  • Demonstrate operational experience in data systems.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of relevant IT systems.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Irish health service and eHealth.
  • Excellent MS Office skills particularly in Excel and Access.
  • OHMPI experience would be advantageous.

  • Create a positive working environment, which contributes to maintaining and enhancing effective working relationships.
