Cyber Security Analyst - Antwerp, Belgium
Languages: ENGLISH and DUTCH (bi-lingual)
Skills and Experience:
- Ability to approach incidents in an analytical way
- Proactive and can independently develop improvement proposals with regard to security
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar position with protocol analysis and automated systems such as:
- IDS
- IDP
- Log Collectors
- SIEM (Security incident & event monitoring)
- Experience with in large environments including Firewalling, secure mail relays and Internet proxies with:
- Known encryption algorithms such as AES, RSA, MD5 and SHA
- Known security architecture
- General knowledge of public security incidents and the various functionalities of public malware/viruses
- Good knowledge of known operating systems like Windows, Linux and Unix
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP and underlying protocols such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP (S), SSH, (S) FTP & POP3
Description of work:
- Identification, analysis and coordination of security incidents
- Support the daily operation of ICT and work with the various partners to solve security incidents
- Advisory role within the ICT organization, taking into account your analyzes
- Work with a team of other security analysts and report to the security administrators
- In cooperation with the operational team, ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the company network
- Part of the incident response team and be responsible for taking appropriate action in case of incidents
