Here is Job Summary:

• Job Title: IT Support Analyst
• Job Location: Castle Donington, Leicestershire, UK
• Job Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 6 Months+
• Job start: ASAP
• Daily Rates: £100/Day

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a wide range of systems, software and hardware in the 1m sq. ft. distribution centre. The DC services orders for online purchases and stock replenishment for retail stores. The successful candidate will also have 2+ years' experience of IT Service management.

• Initial incident triage and raising incidents on Incident Management tool with the relevant central support teams
• Incident Management duties to include ownership and coordination of incidents to resolution
• Following and contributing to incident processes and completing relevant incident logs
• Maintaining strong working relationships with the various IT suppliers and working with them to diagnose and resolve incidents in a timely manner in accordance with SLA agreements, ensuring root cause and remediation steps and fixes are in place
• Problem analysis and management in order to reduce the number of open problem records, with an active ownership and responsibility of problems
• General IT support of faulty hardware including swap out of PCs, Printers, Switches and Radio data terminals etc
• Application and Software support
• Completing comprehensive shift handovers every day to ensure continuity of service and knowledge sharing within the team
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operational processes and the IT systems that support them
• Contributing to and maintaining a knowledge database including: relevant support information, problems, workarounds and known errors
• Help to generate and maintain a continual service improvement approach and attitude
• Performing regular checks on the systems to ensure their stability as well as service reporting, trending and analysis

Essential Technical / business skills:

• 2+ years working in an operational IT service operations environment
• Service Management experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a pressurised environment
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to use own initiative
• Flexibility to work a varied shift pattern over 24/7
• Incident and problem analysis skills

Desirable Skills:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft products (SCCM, Office, Windows 7)
• Basic networking - understanding of TCP/IP, subnets and VLANs
• Experience of Radio Data Terminal configuration and troubleshooting
• A basic understanding of SQL
• A basic understanding of Unix/Linux commands and Operating System
• Experience within an automated warehouse
