ICT Graduate Analyst - £18-£21,000 per annum - INTERIM ROLE - New Forest
We have an exciting opportunity for a graduate looking to move into the IT arena as an ICT Analyst. This role is a contract position whilst the company search for a permanent member of staff, with the minimum duration being 1 month (with extensions if they cannot fill the vacancy this quickly) - the aim start date is 26th June.
You will be responsible for supporting the maintenance, enhancement, development and implementation of a range of areas within the organisations ICT estate including service desk, applications, infrastructure and service level management. You will provide technical expertise for assigned areas, investigating, analysing, developing and actioning service requests, incidents, problems and enhancements under the guidance of more senior ICT colleagues.
Key tasks and deliverables:
*To provide professional, right first time delivery of support and development ICT services in line with the relevant applications/function's SLA requirements.
*To work closely with all ICT teams to continuously improve ICT services and to help with the development of a comprehensive continual improvement plan and knowledge base of common problems/fixes and to aim to 'shift left' incidents and ensure permanent fixes are implemented.
*To ensure the ICT Security Policy is fully complied with by users and work/guidance undertaken is in accordance with this policy.
*To provide information as required to the post holder's manager to maintain ICT services.
*To work alongside ICT Senior Analysts, Analysts, third parties and partner organisations involved in providing support services and other providers to maintain ICT services
*To help ensure that information is supplied to ensure that a full record of software licensing/hardware is maintained and verifiable for internal and external purposes and ensure that the council is neither exposed to claims of software misuse or is being overcharged for non - existent licenses or users.
*All employees are required to support the Council's safeguarding policy and undergo any associated training to ensure its functions are delivered having regard for the need to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk
*Be a champion for change, balancing customer wants, innovation and technical, security & financial restrictions.
Essential skills and experience:
*A degree in an IT related subject at a minimum of 2.1 classification; or A degree in a non IT related subject at a minimum of 2.1 classification and post degree experience in ICT systems, covering either service desk, applications or infrastructure.
*A good analytical ability to solve complex technical problems.
*Ability to manage conflicting demands, resolve issues and meet set targets and deadlines.
*Good communication and inter-personal skills.
*A highly motivated, proactive individual with a strong commitment to flexible working in a fast changing environment.
*It is desirable to have a Full driving license and access to a car during the working day.
