Role: The successful candidate will work with both projects and support teams, configuring monitoring points for finance applications, ensuring that all faults are correctly captured and the required notifications are triggered. This requires close collaboration with various teams in different stages of the delivery life -cycle as well as building strong familiarity with the relevant in-house applications. Will become part of an elite group of highly experienced Geneos specialists who are accountable for the successful delivery of managed services to an array of clients (all within the Financial Services sector).
Managed Services encompass: Improvement of service quality whilst reducing operating costs, overseeing the delivery of new, next generation application monitoring tools and hosting platforms, providing application monitoring solutions to mission critical projects, reporting, introduction and management of Event Management Standards.
Duties:

Will work closely with project and support teams to identify the existing monitoring gapsand requirements for new features.

Will liaise with a number of application support groups, coordinating the deployment of application monitoring solution using Geneos.

Will install, configure and test Geneos, together with the users (development and application support teams).

Will provide user training.

Will produce knowledgebase documentation as well as assist in the creation of training material.

Will provide post implementation support following production migrations.

Will work with the Project Manager and other project streams to identify improvements, automation and industrialisation of the deployment process.
Key Skills sought:

To offer a background in Production Services or Application Support Management.

To offer a good understanding of Event Management and Monitoring practices.

To offer a good understanding of Engineering, Systems Development life cycles, Infrastructure and Networks.

To offer strong UNIX/Linux and Database expertise.
