SELF EMPLOYED/CONTRACT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS - MATERIALS HANDLING

Various Locations across the UK (Birmingham, Manchester, Leicester, Oxford, Gloucester)

To £280 per day depending on hours and location

Our client is urgently seeking a number of Self Employed Multiskilled Maintenance engineers to undertake a range of PPM and reactive breakdown repair activities on a various items of Automated material handling systems across the UK.

With roles available for engineers with a strong Electrical or Mechanical background with recognised relevant qualifications and demonstrable experience gained in the Automation industry, the client has established and highly successful relationships with many leading material handling providers in the industry and specialise in temporary placements on sites across the UK covering all types of absence from holidays through to back fill during ongoing recruitment campaigns.

As a result of continued success and a further increase in demand at sites across the country, they now have the opportunity to grow the team of highly professional maintenance engineers in multiple locations undertaking various duties that will include:

  • Conducting reactive and PPM maintenance on automated systems including cranes (miniload/high bay), conveyors (tote/pallet) and Sortation systems
  • Facilities maintenance activities
  • Monitoring the operation and ensuring stoppages are dealt with promptly
  • Assisting with any safety issues which may arise
  • Promoting any enhancements or additions required

Various shifts are available with relevant attractive rates of pay - £180 per day (8hr shift plus 30mins travel each way) to £280 per day (12hr shift with 60mins travel each way) with work available in the West Midlands, North West, East Midlands and Gloucestershire & Oxfordshire regions - these are great opportunities for experienced maintenance professionals to increase their income and develop further their hands on skills within the automation and materials handling sector.
