Senior Database Administrator - 7 Month Contract - The Hague - €500 per day - Security ClearanceA leading technology consultancy are seeking are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to work on site at a large European institution located in The Hague, Netherlands on an initial 7 month contract basis.
Due to the nature of the role and environment, candidates must have a valid and active SC, NATO or European equivalent Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
As the Senior Database Administrator, your duties will include:
- Performing daily database administration activities including monitoring, maintenance, incident resolution and implementing service requests
- Performing change and release management duties for databases via both traditional and DevOps deployment procedures
- Installing, configuring and administering application systems for production and non-production environments
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of database management services, including automated deployment, monitoring and reporting
Skills
It is essential that the Senior Database Administrator has significant experience of database administration of Microsoft SQL Server in enterprise environments.
Any of the following experience is desirable, but not mandatory:
- Database modelling and query design
- High Availability and Disaster Recovery of sensitive data in a secure environment
- VMWare Virtualisation, Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory services
- Oracle 11g and other database technologies
- Unix and Linux environments
- Powershell and/or other Scripting languages
- Microsoft Sharepoint
