Description

Configuration Management Specialists are required to join our existing team based on client site in Mons, Belgium working for a military client. For an initial 5 month contract. Due to the nature of this work, candidates must hold an active NATO SECRET or be willing and eligible to obtain a new NATO SECRET clearance prior to work commencing.

Skills, knowledge, experience required:
Bachelor Degree or higher in informatics, computer science or a closely related engineering field and IT related experience in Configuration Management.
Practical experience in the usage of Service Management tools
Experience with ITIL release, deployment, and change and configuration management best practices
Experience leading meetings and committees
Knowledge of Quality Management principles
Experience in the operation of Change Advisory Boards (CAB)
Practical Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) experience
Background on application development and design
Configuration Management best practices and process experience
Soft skills:
Working as part of a team.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Fluency in English at B2 level (listening, speaking, reading and writing).
The work, both oral and written, is conducted in English.
Sound knowledge of Service Design, Service Transition and Service Operation processes and principles according to ITILv3
Duties/role:
Software Configuration Management Specialist
Maintains and enforces Service Assets and Configuration Management (SACM) procedures to control all network CIS within assigned systems.
Participates in the configuration and maintenance of the configuration management tools.
Participates in reviews and participates in the change management process for CIS assets.
On behalf of the Section Head, when required, represents Section at appropriate Configuration Control Boards, co-ordinating the scheduling of all activities leading to new software releases.
Provides inputs to the configuration management plan, policy and procedures.
Liaises with other divisions and gencies in matters concerning configuration management.
Ensures that requirements are clearly identified and fulfilled in system handover plans from external agencies and Host nations for new systems or system increments delivered to the Agency.
Manage and Support the Definitive Media Library (Physical and Electronic Media)
Manage and Support the Approved Fielded Product List.
