Infrastructure Systems Engineer - Cloud - Automation - Contract - Oxford
Summary:
This position exists to provide technical support for AWS-hosted infrastructure. Adhering to AWS best practice and security guidelines, the post holder will support multiple development teams in infrastructure delivery and maintenance.
Education/Experience:
Position requires a demonstrably high level of work experience in this field with any AWS Certification an advantage (eg AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional)
Responsibilities will include:
Working as part of a growing team to build and maintain the right cloud infrastructure architecture, balancing performance and resilience with cost.
Work on project to:
o Support on-going delivery of multiple AWS-based production and non-production environments.
o Working closely with development teams to deliver change and improvements
o Building a configuration management system
o Building a CI/CD pipeline
o Deliver robust AWS infrastructure using defined tools and process
Key Skills Required are:
Ability to work on several work streams with good time management
Good Team player
Working inside Dev teams to support Operational Requirements
Experience of working in an agile environment
Takes personal ownership for achieving agreed results
Technical skills Required:
Configuration management - Puppet
Excellent Linux experience in a large environment
Terraform experience
Continuous Integration systems such as Jenkins
Git source repository
AWS in a large environment
