Mechanical Engineer (CAD Engineer) - Military Vehicles
A Mechanical Engineer with Military Vehicles experience is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our defence client based in Washington.
This is a 6-month contract with a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Mechanical Engineer (CAD Engineer) contract role
- As a CAD Engineer, your specific role will focus on the building and maintenance of complex CAD models - working with the wider project team to deliver quality and robust outputs.
- Undertake design tasks associated with the development of specific systems/equipment, involving:
- Co-ordinate with the wider Engineering team to deliver a coherent design/platform.
- Participate in internal and external meetings or design reviews with the customer.
Key skills required for the Mechanical Engineer
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline with at least extensive relevant postgraduate experience, or significant demonstrable relevant experience.
- Experience with Heavy Amour vehicles.
- Familiarity with BS8888.
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Be self-motivated and be able to work with the minimum of supervision within a team environment.
