ROLE: Configuration Management Specialist
LOCATION: The Hague, The Netherlands
RATE: €500 per day
CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months
CLEARANCE REQUIRED: SC Cleared/NATO Secret

OVERVIEW:
At NCI Agency, Directorate Application Services (DAS), The Hague, the Enabling Services group of the C2 Service Line provides interoperability expertise and is the driver for NATO interoperability standards. It supports national and industrially developed solutions for NATO and national use and is developer of interoperability solutions where rio solutions are otherwise available.
The project" NATO Software Tools (NST) Communications and Information Partnership (NST C&IP)" aims to provide the preferred interoperability enabling framework for nations to facilitate usage of NATO C4ISR Tools and Services for national purposes, which are not eligible for common funding.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The technical proposals for the consultant(s) will be assessed on the qualifications of the individual proposed to perform the work. Individual's resumes will be measured against each criteria specified below in order to ascertain whether the individual has adequately demonstrated that s/he possess the required qualification.

The consultant shall have:
a) A university degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Sciences, or related discipline, preferably equivalent to a Master's degree and supplemented by relevant postgraduate qualifications;
b) Experience (at least five years) in planning, design, system engineering, integration and implementation of military software intensive communication and information systems or other decision support systems;
c) Experience as a project team leader in major C4ISR projects (three years minimum);
d) Military domain knowledge in one or more of the communities of interest in C2 Service Line's area of work (ie Maritime, Land, Air, Joint or Special Operations, CBRN, Hydrological, Meteorological and Oceanographic, Targeting, Operations Planning, Missile Defence and situational Awareness);
e) Knowledge and experience in state-of-the-art technologies, relevant to the work, including information processing, exchange of information and related commercial/industrial standards;
f) Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with good briefing skills;
g) Experience in organizational implementation of solutions;
h) The consultant(s) shall have completed course work at a technical college in the Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering fields from a recognised institution.
i) The consultant(s) shall hold a current NATO SECRET clearance.
j) The consultant(s) shall be proficient in the English language, both oral and written.
k) The consultant(s) shall be prepared to travel on short notice to deployed locations within NATO.
l) The consultant(s) shall have the ability and self-motivation to work individually but must also work well within a team.
