Mainframe JCL Support Technician

Note: - We need Swedish speaking consultants only.

Location: Gothenburg

Job Mission/intro

The client has a global Mainframe application for stock management in a very stable environment. At the moment there are 1600 customers we serve. It will be rolled-out in new markets.

The Support Technician is responsible for providing Application Support and Operations services to their clients.

The Support Technician is expected to have good knowledge and experience in the relevant technology, business solution/process combined with good communications skills and an excellent service mind-set.

Duties/responsibilities:

The Support Technician duties are:

  • Handle error log
  • Set up and start new customers, agree on roll-out plan with client
  • Investigation of questions from customer
  • Order access and change passwords
  • The Support technician reports to the Delivery Manager with the overall responsibility for the delivery area assigned.

Skills:

Important skills for the Support Technician are listed below:

  • JCL, SQL queries, OPC knowledge, file handling, file transfer protocol
  • Swedish and English both spoken and written, additional languages are a merit
  • Analytical skill and sense of order are a must
  • Skill in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Customer oriented and service minded
