Description
We are currently looking for a SAS Platform Analyst to join our client based in Guildford on an initial contract up until March 2018. The ideal candidate will come in with Unix/Linux skills to be successful in the role.
The role holder will be dealing with Infrastructure issues and enhancements eg release management automation; capacity planning; Automation of processes; Batch performance improvements; Addressing and rectifying/improving Security permissions
Experience & Skills:
Strong technical knowledge and experience of SAS Foundation (including Base, Macros, SAS/CONNECT, SAS/SHARE, SAS/ACCESS for Oracle & SAS/AF) and SAS EBI (including Servers, web & desktop clients) V9.2 and above
Knowledge and some experience of Cognos and Oracle
Understanding of dimensional modelling techniques and design
Knowledge and some exposure to NAS and other storage systems.
Some exposure to MVS and Mainframe environments.
Quality Centre
Knowledge or some experience of UC4 or similar scheduler
Knowledge and some exposure to source control and release management tools
