Here is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the World's biggest IT consulting company as a Centre of Excellence (COE) Lead in London and work on a project for one of the UK's biggest banking client.

Purpose of Role:

The Centre of Excellence (CoE) Lead's primary responsibility will be to lead, manage and grow the Centre of Excellence, setting the standards and policies of the CoE and ensuring that they align with the strategic outcomes of the IT Operating Model. The CoE Lead is responsible for the assessment of compliance but individuals with these standards and provides this feedback to the individuals line manager as input to their performance assessment. The affect of which will limit the the individuals remuneration and rewards if the adherence to the minimum profession standards are not met.

The CoE Lead may hold the people leader responsible for the line management/management structure of the Centre of Excellence. This may extend to the supply of a skilled and motivated workforce assigned to delivery teams teams ensuring there is adequate capacity, capability and and uplift and an appropriate level of remuneration of personnel.

The CoE Lead may provide a consumable service like such as tools, utilities, systems or applications. In this event the CoE Lead will also be responsible for the efficacy, stability, responsiveness, performance, security, enhancement, support, life-cycling, and maintenance there of.

What does this role holder do (Accountabilities):

• Responsible for the creation and amendment of the standards and policies adhered to by the Centre of Excellence
• Ensuring that the Centre of Excellence is operating in line with industry leading practices and trends
• To govern the implementation and adherence of the Centre of Excellence's standards, principles and policies
• Ensure that a knowledge repository is created, updated with the latest information, lessons learnt and industry best practices
• This role requires maintaining relationships with stakeholders at different levels e.g. Senior Management
• Provide team strategy, planning and status updates and be responsible for ensuring efficiency targets and financial budgets are met continually.
• Actively contributes to their Centre of Excellence (COE) specialism by cross sharing of best practice and learnings with their CoE & Community of Practice (CoP) colleagues.
• Responsible for the education, training and overall capability uplift of the Centre of Excellence
• Ensures the optimal permanent/contractor ratio is kept based on rolling wave demand for work
• Participates in resource supply and demand capacity and capability prioritisation and assignment
• Responsible for implementing DevOps across the Centre of Excellence
• Responsible for the efficacy, stability, responsiveness, performance, security, enhancement, support, life-cycling, and maintenance of any systems, applications, utilities tools and services provided by the CoE consistent with the ITIL and Service management and risks and controls framework, processes and policies
• Accountable for delivery of the regulatory reporting (as appropriate)
• Responsible for delivering KSOR changes to the applications
• Looks for continuous improvement opportunities e.g., automation and ensures the optimal balance between change run and operate decisions and impacts

Knowledge and Experience:

• The role requires good understanding of the regulatory reporting applications supporting the 'Centre of Excellence'
• Expert understanding of the regulatory/statutory reporting business and key responsibilities of the function is required
• Understanding of the regulatory/statutory reporting function and the SLAs/outcomes for cut-offs etc
• Expertise in running large (ideally technical) teams is required
• Business/systems analytical skills are required, with the ability to convert a business ask to a technical solution
• Strong leadership capabilities are required along with the ability to create and share a vision in line with the wider organizations
• Display behaviours in line with Our Standards and Policies
• Expert understanding of running senior governance forums
• A very capable communicator with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to your peers and management level colleagues, with good collaboration and stakeholder management skills
• Solid background working in an Agile - DevOps environment with continuous delivery and continuous integration
