Interest Rate Security Processing Analyst sought by my Edinburgh based, Global Investment Banking Client for an initial 6 month contract position.

Position Overview:

To carry out monthly bond amortisation calculation used for our Client's Authorised Funds. This will include the validation of standing data, adjustments and advising Valuations of the postings to Multifonds on a timely basis.

Carry out review/analysis of current callable bonds in order to enhance process. The role holder will also undertake reviews of daily processes and support internal projects and process improvements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensures a good understanding of operational
  • Delivers operational support as per responsibilities drawn by Section Manager
  • Proves excellent knowledge of related bank systems; provides assistance in the implementation of process improvements
  • Manages timely all requests/inquiries coming from internal and external customers
  • Applies good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area.
  • Requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles.
  • Makes evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information.
  • Resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents
  • Validation of standing data used in bond amortisation calculations
  • Carrying out validation process and instructing posting to Valuations Team on a timely basis
  • Comparison of current callable bond universe between Static Data and Bloomberg, including monitoring of Yield to Worst Dates
  • Actioning ad-hoc queries from auditors, the client and other internal customers
  • Preparing, delivering, monitoring and evaluating Client specific packs, for final, interim or other ad hoc dates as required
  • Contributing to the improvement of systems, products and services
  • Ad-hoc projects/tasks. Provision of ad-hoc information/reconciliation and/or resolving ad-hoc queries in a timely fashion and participation in projects as and when required

Key Skils:

  • Knowledge of the Fixed Income
  • Knowledge of the Bloomberg
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Preparing & analysing data
  • Relevant fund accounting experience
