My client are requiring a electrical systems engineer to work on a long term contract.

Planning, execution and delivery of subsystem electrical definition alignment, spacecraft harness design and manufacturing control activities throughout the mission AIT and EVT phases.
Key Purpose of Job
Working as part of spacecraft mission team, lead the definition, design and control of complex spacecraft harness for geostationary satellite developments

Key Tasks:
Analysis of harness specifications and design documents
Analysis and alignment of equipment electrical interface specifications
Bracket and bulkhead connector definition
Power, signal and data bus pin-to-pin alignment and definition in the harness design tool (Haywire)Implement harness design to meet all electrical, grounding and environmental requirements
Liaison with the spacecraft systems team to resolve issues and anomalies
Review of pin-to-pin definition with key stakeholders
Assist with connector procurement
Assist with harness routing discussions
Spacecraft test cable definition and manufacture control
Deploy appropriate configuration and change management processes
Progress reporting General AIT and EVT support with possible overseas travel
Liaise with mission team and external customers
Support training programmes for both internal and customer engineers
Presentation at required design, test and project reviews

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Qualifications
A minimum of HNC/HND in engineering or science discipline or at least four years of demonstrable hands-on experience in the space industry
Requirements of this post are to hold, or have held in the last 5 years, an EU based personal Security clearance and to be a citizen of one of the member states of the European Union or the Schengen association countries
Experience
Experience in the design, definition, analysis and consolidation of spacecraft subsystems electrical interfaces to meet mission requirements.
Working with spacecraft flight hardware during design, development and implementation phases, ideally including integrated system testing.
Working with verification/validation of requirements
Good, all round electrical, mechanical & electronics background
Experience of working with RF communications payloads is preferred
Knowledge & Skills
Execute work and inspection regime to recognised standards
Proven, practical, hands-on ability for both flight build and ground and development testing tasks
Good team working skills, together with the ability to interface with others at all levels.
Strong attention to detail is essential
Good communication skills are required
Must be prepared to work irregular hours and weekends during peak workload periods.
Ability to fly out to support overseas work is required
A flexible and pragmatic attitude to work, planning and interactions with others is required.
Full, clean driving licence preferred
