NK 242 - Storage Engineer Banking - Brussels
BACKGROUND
The department that plans, builds and runs the global infrastructure within the bank and is additionally responsible for the IT service management to the operating entities of the various Group markets. It operates its IT systems and IT services in such a way that, at an appropriate and benchmarked cost level, it can deliver the agreed levels of service to support the requirements of the business processes, for both normal operations and during disaster recovery.
You will be part of a small team of experts managing the Storage infrastructure. Your main responsibilities will be to integrate smoothly in the storage infrastructure team who ensures the stability of the production environment, provide project support for storage related matters, provisioning of storage requests and provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
REQUIREMENTS
- You have some knowledge of Brocade Switches (eg DCX), EMC² Storage controllers (eg VMAX, VNX), EMC² Networker and EMC² DataDomain (DD990)
- You're able to develop in most of the following languages: PowerShell, VBScript, PERL and/or C#. Development skills in ASP.NET will be considered as an asset
- You have an understanding of the LEAN principles, eg PSS, Whiteboard
- You're familiar with the ITIL principles, more specifically change management, incident management, problem management, release management and how to apply it

- You enjoy technical challenges and you're interested in new technologies
As the position requires watch duty and weekend interventions, you're willing to work outside office hours
