IT Telecommunications Engineer - 2 Month Contract - London - URGENT!

Essential Skills:

  • IT Service telecommunications support role (3yrs+) preferably in a financial services environment

  • Generalist administrative and troubleshooting experience across a number of core platforms and technologies:
    • Interactive Intelligence or similar VOIP Platform
    • Call center experience including Wallboards
    • Lync (Skype for Business) Voice
    • Web conferencing knowledge such as WebEx and Go To Meeting
    • Network troubleshooting (VOIP/SIP)

  • Experience troubleshooting in complex Telecommunications environments

Knowledge & Experience desirable

  • ITIL qualified
  • A leading financial client based in the heart of London are currently on the lookout for a IT Telecommunications Engineer on a 2 month contract which is very likely to extend.

We are looking for a technically talented IT Telecommunications Engineerto be part of the financial companies 2nd line team responsible for infrastructure and application support for the Renown finance company core IT Telecommunications Infrastructure. The role will be involved in small projects and works to support activities primarily on Interactive Intelligence voice infrastructure however a good general IT knowledge across other technologies will be required including Networks.

The key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Act as primary point of technical escalation from multiple sources (1st/2nd line colleagues and vendors), be accountable for IT incident resolution.
  • Oversee problem management activities to ensure root causes are identified and resolved with the Vendor
  • Work with external vendors to resolve issues and ensure the stability and availability of the core IT Infrastructure
  • Assist with IT Implementations of core infrastructure ensuring Projects teams hand over to operations is well managed and controlled
