Description

6 mo-1 year renewable contract possible right to hire for a help desk specialist with 1-5 years of experience. The hours on the help desk position cover from 6am-10pm. It will be 4, 10 hour days, such as Wed-Sun. or Sun-Wed, either 6am-5pm or 11am-10pm or something in that range - and will include a weekend day.

Ideal candidate will have an AAS Degree in IT or A+ or Net+, Linux/Unix, or Cisco certifications and at least 1 year help desk or call center experience.

The position is all phone support providing troubleshooting for Windows 7, MS Office Suite, Printer and PC connectivity issues. Basic level 1 support for both hardware and software.

Also supporting proprietary systems/software (Sterling, Genesis) that are web based running on a Linux/Unix platform. Experience executing scripts, command prompts, working with SQL, etc, is highly desired.

Must have strong troubleshooting skills, customer service skills. Experience working with call management systems such as Remedy.

Any knowledge or training in Linux/Unix is highly desired, any Network or Cisco experience is also desired.
