Description

ROLES & DUTIES
Under the direction of the Branch Head Service Operations and Support you will perform duties such as the following:
- Installs, operates and maintains local area network infrastructure and related equipment.
- Resolves application and software issues within Servers, databases, and other mission critical systems.
- Provide support to ensure data consistency and integrity.
- Supports the integrity of assigned ICT infrastructure (CIS Infrastructure), supports on IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM), Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans. Monitors, tests, and tunes system performance; preserve and provide system log files as needed. Performs and tests system backups and restores to ensure system recovery from error or outage.
- Establishes, supervises and executes proper preventive maintenance plans.
- Implements policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure security through secure system access, monitoring, control, and routine security evaluations.
- Monitors the status of CIS networks and systems, responds to queries, incident reports and other requests from users and Agency's Ops Center.
- Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving of further leveraging these systems.
- Recommends and executes modifications to configuration of network infrastructure, Audio Visual/VTC systems, Servers, databases, and other mission critical systems in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
- Provides end-user support and troubleshooting of applications and software.
- Ensures all technical and service oriented documentation pertaining to assigned systems, interconnections, supporting cable plant etc. is prepared, properly stored and kept up-to-date.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
At least 5 years recent experience with application and network management/monitoring activities in a large scale ICT service-oriented environment. You must be knowledgeable in software tools used for large scale ICT Service Management (eg Symantec Altiris, Microsoft SCCM, VMWare Service Manager, BMC ITSM).
