Roles & Duties:
Under the direction of the Service Operations and Support Branch the incumbent will perform duties such as the following:
Executes assigned work orders, often under the direction and guidance of centralized services, to provide local intervention to assure SLA targets are sustained which includes, but not limited to:
- Installation, operation and maintenance of crypto links and systems;
- Installation, operation and maintenance of Routing and Switching, VoIP and VTC infrastructures and circuits;
- Troubleshooting network connections and serial circuits;
- Maintain the voice services infrastructure including user profiles.
- Manages the User Profile Services (UPS) as part of a centralized UPS
- Support the local deployment of protection system to include Firewall, antivirus, IT security policies as directed.
- Provide Level 1 assistance to the Centralised service Desk or Service Lines for incident resolution
- Liaise with and supports external teams for deployment of new systems and/or reconfigurations
- Participate in incident management, problem management and change management processes
- Prepare and maintains records for preventive and corrective maintenance of all assigned systems and equipment based on working hour record.
- Coordinates with Host HQ for infrastructure projects and issues
- Contributing to service asset and configuration management
Experience & Skills required:
3 years of experience in Tech Control Facilities and/or Crypto Circuit environments;
Formal training in encrypted voice, video and data technologies; Certified Networking skills equivalent to ICND 1 and 2;
Familiarity with standard communication protocols;
A sound practical understanding of:
- IP Addressing
- Routing and Switching Technologies
- VoIP Technologies - VTC Technologies
