World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is currently looking to recruit 2x Electronic Design Engineer subcontractors on an initial 6 month contract.
Hourly Rate: The dept are offering competitive hourly rates
Contract Duration: 6 months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)
Security Information: Please Note you must be eligible for SC Security Clearance (unfortunately due to security restrictions for this role, the candidate will need to be a British National with no dual nationality and must have resided in the UK for at least 4 of the past 5 years).
Electronic Design Engineer Job Description:
Depending upon the stage of the project, perform a range of electronic design tasks, including negotiation of sub-system requirements, derivation of circuit architectures, circuit design and analysis, schematic entry using Zuken schematic editor, produce design documentation, achieve manufacture of prototypes and initial test of these, defining and performing formal testing including supporting environmental and EMC trials, produce design statement and test reports that contribute to the evidence Requirement for certification of the product.
This work will be achieved to time and budget under the direction of the Electronics Design Authority. Dependent upon the specific project task and technology used, a range of skills will be considered including, digital and Microprocessor design, analogue design from low to RF frequencies, power electronics design including some power supply design.
Note that FPGA design is covered in a separate sub-contract role. The role requires candidates to be self-starters, have the ability to influence and interface throughout the organisation and to be able to organize and plan their own work. Issues with colour blindness need to be made know to Hiring Manager but are unlikely to affect the award of a contract.
