Systems Administrator - IBM i-Technical Support
My client is looking for an experienced iSeries System Administrator to join their team until the end of the year. This will be based in Brussels and is likely to run significantly longer.
Required experience:
- i5 OS management (versions 5.3 -> 7.1) with 5+ years of working experience in a multi customer environment
- Good knowledge of MiMix, OMS400/ODS400, iCluster HA applications: installation, configuration, set up and management
- Good knowledge of HMC, LPAR, iASP configuration, set up and management
- Installation, Upgrade and Migration of operating systems and PTF management
- Good knowledge of BRMS (IBM backup tool)
- Job management through ROBOT/400, AJS and Job Scheduler
- Co-ordinate Hardware and Software call
- Printer and device configuration
- External storage & SAN: connection and management
- Performance management and capacity planning (PM400)
- System Security management
- TCP/IP communications
- VIOS: configuration, set up and management
- CL programming - Optional: RPG programmer skills
Personal skills
- High sense of ownership & taking initiative
- Having skill to handle SEV1 situation independently
- Being able to transfer technical experiences and knowledge to other team members
- Project management skills to lead and coordinate projects
