System Administrator

Currently one of my top clients is urgently seeking a System Administrator who will join their team in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The successful System Administrator will have the following skills and experience:

  • Linux/Unix/AIX system administrator (Aix experience will be a definite plus)
  • Should have detailed understanding on storage systems
  • Oracle knowledge and experience is required. DBA is not mandatory
  • Server monitoring and sys admin activities
  • Experience in applying patches to Aix Servers
  • Experience in taking backups (virtual tapes), restoring backups
  • Installing oracle patches
  • SAS management in linux is a plus
  • The candidate has to spend at least 20% of their time in risk and complicance procedures during any patches/promotions.
  • Autosys experience will be an added advantage. Else, knowledge on other scheduling tools will also be a plus.
