You will be expected to work as part of a small highly skilled team, working in one of the three different work areas on site providing 2nd Line support for a wide variety of aircrew and aircraft equipment. The work will involve military and civilian survival equipment.
- You must have a flexible approach to working patterns, be prepared to work in challenging conditions.
- Sound knowledge of Flying clothing, Personal Survival packs, aircrew training support and Parachute packing.
- To ensure that survival/equipment maintenance and other related tasks are carried out efficiently and to quality in accordance with regulatory and corporate procedures
- The post holder ensures his/her competency is at the required standard.
- The post holder carries out his/her assigned tasks as directed by the Senior Technician/Task Manager/Hangar Management.
- Carrying out all activities in compliance with legislation.
- Carrying out all activities in compliance with client policies, procedures and manuals.
- Carry out work effectively, efficiently and in accordance with HS&E legislation.
- Ensuring that he/she has the appropriate tools, aircraft manuals and spares to meet the work programme.
- Ensure that all work is properly documented; including update of aircraft technical records and supporting aircraft maintenance information systems.
Experience and Knowledge
- Recognised apprenticeship in an Survival equipment discipline or equivalent experience iaw MAA-01 Chapter 13.4
- Level 3 Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (Survival Equipment Maintenance) )
