We require 3 Cabling/Technical Installers for an initial 6 month contract role based on a Government Client site in Milton Keynes with travel to their London office and with work overseas as required to start ASAP...
Please be advised this role will be outside of IR35.
Role Overview:
To be part of the Client's overseas installation team for the purpose of installing technical equipment in missions overseas. ie security (CCTV/ACS/IDS/IAPA), IT (structured cabling/hardware) or communications (radio/satellite). You will support Senior Installers in the installation of both small single-system installations and complex, multi-system installations.
This role requires travel and you may be required to undertake short trips (between 1 and 8 weeks on average, dependent on the system being installed) overseas approximately for up to 22 weeks per year.
There may be a requirement to carry out installation work within the UK when required, as well as supporting preparation for upcoming trips, maintaining the working environment such as workshops/stores.
Essential skills/experience required:
Current SC Level Security Clearance is essential
NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC, ONE (or significant equivalent experience) in electronics and/or Telecommunications and/or IT or related subject.
Knowledge and experience of one or more relative skill set - security (CCTV/ACS/IDS/IAPA), IT (structured cabling/hardware), PCO or Telecommunications or Radio/satellite skills
Proven experience in Cable installation to the highest standard (Cat5, Cat6, Fibre, Cold Cure, Hot Melt, Fusion Splicing)
Proven experience in installation of containment to the highest standard (Conduit, Trunking, Basket)
Desirable:
Demonstrable interest in a wide range of practical technical skills ie electronics, IT, mechanics, construction
Knowledge, experience and/or qualifications in Tekton CCTV
Knowledge, experience and/or qualifications in HIRSH ACS
Team leading experience with proven ability to manage teams and installations
ECS Card holder
Experience of working in missions overseas
Experience of working for HMG
