Position: Network Architect

Job Location: Nitra, Slovakia

Contract Duration: 6 Month + Extendable

We are looking Network architect for our client company for Nitra, Slovakia location

The Purpose of the Job: The Network Architect will be responsible for the generation of IT network architectural and designs and associated artefacts, based on supplied business and technical requirements, for a large international manufacturing programme.

Tasks will be listed and scheduled with the IT Infrastructure programme plan; progress and completion of assigned tasks will be tracked against this plan.

Weekly reports (with RAG statuses) must be completed, highlighting risks, issues, impacts and slippages to the IT Infrastructure Programme Manager.

  • Cisco CCNP Wireless/Security certification
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, preferably automotive
  • Strong background in end-to-end network architecture and design, from conceptual level through to detailed level
  • Large programme experience (£500+m/3+ years duration)
  • Deep understanding of WiFi network design, eg indoor and outdoor design consideration and attributes, surveying, etc.
  • Global/international collaboration, ie with international colleagues and vendors
  • Strong working background in LAN and WAN environments, including perimeter services and security (Firewalls, security contexts etc.)
  • Technical/architectural governance experience
  • Excellent requirements analysis and verification skills
  • Experience of integrating IT networking requirements into construction programmes
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Good understanding of physical networking environments, eg civils (buried channels), cabling and containment design/best practice)
  • Ability to technically lead and direct packages of work (where required), including direction of other team members and outsourced resources
