Electrical Maintenance Technician

Electrical Maintenance Technician with Automation experience is required to work on a six-month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our defence client based in Crewe.

This is a 6-month contract with a leading UK defence company.

Overview of the Electrical Maintenance Technician role

My client is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the Electrical Maintenance team near Crewe.

Role and responsibility will be to follow laid down safe systems of work to:

  • Follow a structured PPM system whilst attending electrical breakdowns when needed
  • Electrical fault finding on automated machinery and distribution networks throughout the factory
  • Work as both an individual and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide production process efficiency improvements.
  • A good understanding of working with automated systems including PLC's, HMI's, industrial computers, drives, sensors, guard Switches and motors is essential.

The role may involve shift work and a willingness to be part of a weekend on call rota team.

Key skills required for the Electrical Maintenance Technician

  • BTEC HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering,
  • 17th edition certificate
  • Be familiar with the safety of machinery regulations.
