Description
A leading Financial Services organisation is seeking an Unix/Solaris Engineer experience to join their Kogarah-based team on an initial 6 month contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working in a team environment, using their strong Solaris and OpenLDAP skills to assisting in the delivery of a large new cloud platform.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry certification
- System engineering/system administration experience gained within large, complex environments
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience using and supporting OpenLDAP and Solaris including Solaris virtualisation (zones and odoms), ZFS/UFS Filesystems, OS patching and Solaris Live Upgrade experience
- Any experience supporting AIX or RHEL would be highly regarded
- Hands on experience with SAN technologies such as fibre/iscsi
- Automation experience using Scripting and other tools
- Good knowledge, use and configuration of network monitoring tools
- Strong understanding and appreciation of the change management process within a large, process-driven environment
- Ability to work independently with little direction as well as part of a wider team
- Solid problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
