*Securities Analyst- Investment Banking, Global investment Bank, Canary Wharf, London, 3 month contract*
A tier 1 investment bank requires a competent Settlements Analyst- to join their team in London on an initial 3 month contract.
Overview of business area or project:
The department is responsible for the timely settlement and reconciliation of Cash Securities trades and related monies for Group Operations. The teams are market aligned covering circa 80 markets and all CS IB entities. Product scope includes Equities, Fixed Income, Repo, Stock Loan and Tri-Party. Trade scope extends to Exchange, Broker, Client and InterCompany trade flows. This role will focus on the Global Credit Products pre-matching and priority fails. Working as an interface between the settlement teams and the business.
Execution:
- Focus on specific/prioritized pre-matching issues
- Focusing on specific/prioritized failing and failed trades
- Creation of analytics and trending
By:
- Working directly with the settlement teams
- Working directly with the Front Office and desk support teams
- Supporting London based settlement management in partnership meetings with the Front Office
Experience
- Details knowledgeable on the Cash Security Settlements functions and processes essential
- Ability to establish, foster and evolve partnerships with stakeholders
- Proven ability of continuous identification of and drive to improve processes and procedures
- Proven ability to maintain the control environment and take leadership in resolving complex, technical and global processing issues
- Demonstrated ability to operate as escalation point both into and out of the department for the GCP business cluster
