Context of the mission

Our client is looking for a Network Engineer with good knwoledge on GPON Technology.

Profile of the network engineer

Good knowledge of following equipments and technologies:

Ethernet & IP network engineering

Home gateways & home networking

Routers, Firewalls & Switches

International standards related to (optical) fixed access network: Broadband Forum TR156 or TR101, ITU-T G.984.x series, IEEE 802.3

Network protocols: IEEE 802.11, 802.1Q, PPPoE, ARP, IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, DNS, RTP, VOIP SIP signalling (IMS), LACP, IGMP, MPLS,

Quality of service on L2 and L3 networks (policing, shaping)

Network security

Usage of measurement equipment (Emulators, traffic generator, Spirent Test Center, Wireshark, ), testing automation tools

Analytical troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Experience in Ethernet and IP network engineering

English speaking mandatory, but preferably also French or Dutch speaking
