A large IT Services Company based in Macquarie Business Park is currently seeking a level 1 Service Desk Analyst for an initial 6 month contract.

The role would suit a recent graduate with 1-2 years experience looking to get exposure across a wide variety of technologies before taking that step on to a bigger role. This position is responsible for providing IT support which includes IT operational tasks and the timely response, resolution and escalation of customer requests, incidents and enquiries.

The primary scope of the position will be to provide end user support for IT. It is expected that the role will also include operational support for IT infrastructure as the staff member's skills develop during the course of the contract.

Key duties will include:

  • Response to customer requests within defined service levels
  • Escalation of incidents and requests that exceed service level objectives
  • IT services induction training for new starters within service level agreement
  • Identification and resolution of incidents through operational processes and systems monitoring within defined service levels
  • Effective management of IT incidents and customer requests

Key skills and experience include:

  • Demonstrated work experience in an IT Support environment. (Microsoft, desktops, laptops, peripherals and tablets)
  • Excellent attitude and customer service focus
  • Outstanding communication skills and a friendly yet professional manner
  • Ability to work well and cooperatively within a team environment
  • Tertiary/Industry Certification
  • Good written and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Attention to detail as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and use of discretion when required
