Description
If you are a low-level Embedded software design and development engineer you could join a well-established and successful team delivering bespoke wireless SoC software frameworks and example software libraries for a well-known and respected innovator within this field.
You responsibilities will include the definition and implementation of reference applications that demonstrate all the features of our customer's Bluetooth Low Energy SoC.
You will contribute to the architecture definition, including the breaking down of technical tasks to the software development team from design to its implementation. The architecture includes aspects such as the power consumption of the system, communication between components through standard communication bus (SPI, I2C, I2S), timing constraints of the various cores and its footprint.
To this end, the role will include some customer support and with the feedback from other engineers further improve the reference application.
You will contribute improving the good software development practices and work with the team to raise up the quality of the deliverables.
You will be working in an agile team and because of the architecture aspect of the role, you will be working in collaboration with the architects of other teams.
Skills:
- Embedded programming in C, assembly - low level drivers, eg SPI, I2C.
- Debugging in Embedded platforms - JTAG, Logic analyser.
- Software design engineering, including defining architecture and designs.
- Technical team leading skills, architecture definition, technical work breakdown
- BSc, or Master degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering
- Knowledge of BLE and Audio (USB) is a plus
