System Engineer - Blue Coat

System Engineer - Blue Coat. One of my major banking clients is urgently looking for a System Engineer - Blue Coat for a 6-12 month contract in the heart of Brussels, Belgium.

General tasks description and deliverables

  • IT Specialists in this job role will have expertise on managing and operation of Blue Coat Proxy solutions, and the resources required to plan for, develop, deliver, and support properly engineered IT services related to Blue Coat to meet the needs of a business in the network domain.. The scope of this job role includes preparation for new or changed services, responsibility for the change process (solution design and build),. IT Specialists in this job role work with products or solutions based on Blue Coat. Typical examples of the deliverables are building proof-of-concept solutions to address client requirements and architecting solutions to address client requirements.
  • Creation of a DLD (detailed level design) document based on Solution Architecture with as purpose serving for the configuration of the Blue Coat environment(s). Every solution is described in a Solution Network DLD. The Solution Network DLD contains the specifications for the necessary network services (Proxy Blue Coat) and delivers a general description of the solution.

  • From a network point of view give a functional description in a RCEC (Review Committees External Connections certificate) document in order to describe the necessary measures to comply with the requirements of Risk & Security. Every connection between network segments with an unequal "trust level" must be described, judged and certified

  • Creation of cookbooks with Low Level details for the configuration of Blue Coat components.

  • The delivered documentation is to be crosschecked before implementation with the operational network team in order to confirm its feasibility from an operational point of view.
  • Creation/adapting an OSG (operational security guide) to reflect and conform to the minimal standards complying to CORPORATE OPERATIONAL RISK MANAGEMENT Guarantees the setup is conform to the IT Risk Minimum Standards and complies with the defined BIA (Business Impact Analysis). Security and state compliant monitoring is in place.

  • Help troubleshooting as 3d line network engineer.
