Infrastructure Architect - Brussels, Belgium

Skills and Experience:
- Good communication skills and ability to work autonomously
- Minimum 5 years of recent practical experience in IT systems architecture and design
- Capability of modelling components, data and services
- Capability of modelling service data and reference models;
- Capability for specification of service interfaces, service data and reference models
- Good knowledge of interoperability technology:
- Web services, Message oriented Middleware, Service oriented bus
- Good knowledge of service implementation patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, request/response, etc.) distributed system design and messaging layer
- Ability to cope with fast-changing technologies used in application architecture
- Strong capability for analysis, comparison and summary, with excellent writing and presentation of clear documents
- Experience in architecture modelling tools
- Proven experience of high availability systems design
- Deep technical knowledge of IT technology, including but not limited to:
- Networking technologies: Cisco Nexus; Load balancing technologies; Converged networks
- Security technologies: Juniper Firewalls, IPSec
- Virtualisation technologies: Solaris zones, AIX LPAR, VMware Vmotion
- Database systems: Oracle DB, Oracle RAC
- Storage and backup systems: Legato, VTL, EMC
- Operating Systems: IBM AIX, Oracle Solaris, Red Hat Linux, Windows
- Monitoring platforms: Tivoli
- Middleware: Oracle OSB, Tuxedo, MQseries
Description of work:
- Performs high level and/or core design, ensures interoperability and identifies potential reuse
- Supervising the overall consistency of IT architecture and guarantees that its design fulfills a set of requirements.
- Participate in key organisational IT infrastructure initiatives
- Provide infrastructure system engineering and architecture specifications
- Ensure that processes and documentation are adequate and effective to meet specifications and audit requirements
- Dealing with IT vendors to ensure timely and excellent delivery of services
