Our client is a leader in the development of data acquisition and video recording systems. They now seek an experienced electronic design engineer for a 6 month rolling contract.
Skills, Qualifications & Attributes:
Essential
*Degree qualified with a bias towards electrical and electronic engineering
*Analogue or Digital electronics design experience
*Able to clearly formulate and communicate complex design concepts
*Solid oral and written communication skills in English
*High level of EMC/RFI design and test experience
Beneficial
*Analogue and Digital Electronics Experience:
oMicroprocessors and high speed digital design.
oSwitch mode power supply design
oSerial interfaces: I2C, SPI, UART
oAutomotive interfaces: CAN, LIN, FLEXRAY
oAmplifiers, filters
oSensor signal conditioning.
oMicro-controller interfacing.
oEthernet interfacing.
*Power Electronics:
oKnowledge of Triac/SCRs, IGBTs & FET
oPower supply design
oDC Motor control
oActuator drives.
*Design Techniques:
oCircuit simulation & design tolerance analysis
oCircuit electrical and thermal rating analysis
oDesign for high volume manufacture
oRobust design including FMEA techniques.
