Service Introduction Technical Consultant

  • 3 Month Contract
  • Dublin City Center
  • €Neg Daily Rate

Main Purpose of Role:

You will work closely with the offshore and onshore product and client team on the process of "Service Introduction" and help the client produce technical documents related to the Capgemini's PSD2 product.

You would have worked with technologies like AWS, Splunk, Micro Services, Docker, AppDynamics, API Gateways (Mulesoft, Kong, APIGee, Azure, etc) will be an added bonus.

Service Introduction is a bank process for preparing a project/service to transition from project team support to BAU support once it has gone live.

Key responsibilities and deliverables:

  • Solution is documented thoroughly, covering all aspects of solution, eg Design, infrastructure, common errors and how to resolve, process updates etc
  • Documentation is shared with relevant bank teams involved in service introduction, eg IT Security, Infrastructure Operations, Service Design, SA&I, TS support teams. These teams review the documentation to verify the solution meets banks standards, and highlight any updates required in order for the bank to be able to support the solution eg additional reporting, performance requirements etc.
  • Ownership of all aspects of the solution is discussed and agreed with support teams and Service Managers. Knowledge Transition (KT) documents, Technical Operations Manual etc. are drafted and walked through with teams, ELS arrangements agreed

Experience required:

  • Working experience in technical designing and drafting of software documentation and user guides
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
  • Excellent written skills in English
  • Familiarity with the SDLC and software development
  • Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
  • Knowledge of Operational Design and Process
  • Should be able to understand the product functionalities and required manual/operational interventions in failure scenario
  • Knowledge of Failure Mode Effect Analysis
  • Producing high-quality documentation that is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Working with internal teams and clients on product and documentation requirements
  • Writing easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
