Description

A global Renewable Energy client is looking for an experienced Offshore Installation Manager (WTG) to work in their UK offices. Our client is looking for the WTG Installation Manager who can review tenders for WTG Installation and Installation vessel supply. The WTG Installation Manager must be able to run tenders for MWS and potentially stone bed installation. Review RA/MS, attend site meetings. This role is anticipated to start approx.; 2nd October 2017 up until 30th September 2018 with the possibility of extending further thereafter. Hours of work are 5 days per week up to 10hrs per day Monday - Friday. The Consultant must be prepared to travel to the clients other offices in UK, Denmark, and Germany and must expect some short periods working offshore during construction phase.
The Role:
The Wind Turbine Installation Manager will be responsible either for delivering technical content of contracts for the execution of WTG Installation, and will be working with the product line group to provide portfolio savings and improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • To install offshore wind turbines during execution phase.
  • To manage the interface between the WTG supplier, the installation vessel contractor and the WTG Installation contractors during the delivery, load out and installation of WTGs offshore.
  • Liaise with the line management team and lead specialist to share knowledge and information, assist monitoring and troubleshooting and facilitate resource management.
  • To report to the project WTG Package Manager within the project execution phase and assist the package manager during Pre-FID phase.
  • To work with Product Line Managers to implement lessons learnt.
  • Liaise with Site and Commissioning team, and other teams, regarding installation interfaces and issues.
  • To visit onshore and offshore sites internationally as required and check that the port access, pre-assembly area, quayside and soil conditions are suitable for WTG installation scope of work.
Qualifications:
  • Must a have a degree in engineering and or Marine.
  • Must have all valid GWO certifications.
  • LOLER and CDM regulations or equivalent Danish, German legislation are also required.
  • Experience within Naval architecture, marine construction, WTG installation, offshore engineering and or marine contracting.
  • Must be able to demonstrate some marine operations or wind construction experience.
  • Spoken Danish or German would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience of AutoCAD, Primavera and Synergi would also be advantageous.
Special Provisions:
The Consultants must have his/her own iPhone 4S, 5C, 5S, 6 or 6+ or a Windows phone 8.1.
