Infrastructure Operations Engineer - Datacenter/Commvault - London
Square one are looking for an Infrastructure Operations Engineer specialising in Datacenters and Commvault on a 6 month contract based in Central London.
Day to day datacentre skills - like performing physical inspection, reporting against any failures and performing hardware replacement with vendors like HP, EMC and DELL
Backup - Commvault administrator with good hands on experience on Tape library and Tape management.
Patching - Good experience on WSUS and Red Hat Linux patching.
Antivirus - Experience in managing Symantec antivirus and end clients.
The candidate will be expected to understand in detail the points of integration across all platforms. This will include Firewalls, Network, and Storage and server hypervisor platforms.
Daily tasks would include primarily providing deployment and migration support for projects being set-up in private cloud and migrating the business services from on-premise to the private cloud solution .
* Excellent deployment and troubleshoot qualities - able to deploy new infrastructure using the automated solution and manual deployment where automation is not possible.
Required Technical Skills:
Excellent knowledge of Active Directory
Excellent knowledge of Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012 systems administration
Experience of Windows Server 2008 and 2012 configuration
Server Hardening and security improvement experience through group policies
Experience on NSX and vRealize automation suite.
Working knowledge of Checkpoint and Paloalto Firewalls and able to make changes using the GUI.
Experience setting up and configuring VMware preferably vSphere v 6.0
Experience setting up and configuring Citrix Xen desktop environments including load balancers.
Working knowledge of Storage Area Networks, Network Attached Storage
Working knowledge of core networking technologies including Cisco edge Switches.
Working knowledge of RSA authentication
Working knowledge of backup technologies especially Commvault.
Experience in writing Power CLI scripts to query/configure Active Directory and Windows Servers and storage array
Working knowledge of storage technologies such as Netapp and EMC.
Working knowledge of SQL
Network Security best practices
SFTP, SMTP, SNMP
MPLS, VPN, LAN, WAN Networks
Preferred Technical Skills:
Exposure to Netscalers/VPX's
Encryption technologies throughout the stack (Data Transfer, SSL)
NetApp SAN Experience
Commvault
Complex Microsoft Clusters
Checkpoint, Palo Altos and Cisco experience
SRM Manager Experience
