Description
This project is providing Europe wide infrastructure to support teams, many of the applications used are delivered via Citrix which the Thin Client Technologies team support.
The Internal IT project is consolidating the different IT domains throughout the countries into a single domain. The Thin Client team are responsible for ensuring a smooth transition for the Citrix services and building a new strategic Citrix platform.
Key accountabilities
Demonstrate technical leadership in the area of Citrix and associated technologies.
Make technical decisions and understand complex low level design documents enough to implement into operational use within a change controlled organization.
Must have the ability to document and hand over day to day support of implementations to 1st and 2nd level support teams.
Education/Experience:
- Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in IT or other technical studies
- Highly specific skill set or technical training;
- Advanced educational credentials required;
- Greater prior experience in this role (3+ years)
- Netscaler physical devices version 10/11
- SSL certificate management (on Netscalers)
- Citrix and TS license server management including experience in processes to manage capacity management, housekeeping
- Experience using or an appreciation of tools used to manage and plan strategic changes in a Citrix environment For example AppDNA, monitoring tools, Smart tools An understanding of new features which will make up the next generation of Citrix implementations For example Citrix Cloud, Application Layering as delivered by Citrix product UniDesk
Knowledge & Experience:
- General IT skills with storage and hypervisor systems within a Citrix environment:
- Citrix Netscaler version 10/11 knowledge
- Citrix XenApp version 6.x/7.x essential
- Citrix Xendesktop version 5.x,
- Appsense,
- Windows Server Management,
- Microsoft Active Directory/Group Policy Management,
- Networking fundamentals,
- Powershell,
- Microsoft App-v v4.6 and v5
