Description:
- 10+ years of systems programming experience on the zSeries (Mainframe) platform supporting z/OS.
- Recent z/OS migration experience including from version 1.13 to version 2.1.
- In depth working knowledge of the capabilities and use of z/OS installation and customization in a parallel sysplex environment.
- Exposure to other zSeries platform components including hands on technical experience supporting CICS, DB2, IMS and MQ.
- Thorough working knowledge and experience in the use of IBMs SMP/E product.
- Strong SA z/OS, TCPIP and USS skills required.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently. Must be able to multi-task and work under short deadlines and in high pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- Highly Desirable Skills: Experience in the following Mainframe Storage components:-
- Storage Hardware - DASD, IBM DS8000 with Metro Mirror replication, Tape, Oracle 8500 tape libraries and Oracle Virtual Storage Manager (VSM6)
- Storage Software - DFHSM, DFSMS, DFDSS, and RMM installation, customization and implementation across multiple LPARs. IBM Copy Services Manager and Hyperswap. Skills : Mainframe Admin,DB2 zOS TOOLS, IBM Storage, English Language
