Description
Great 8 month plus contract exists with a major NSW Government agency, based in the inner west. You will be assisting with the development of control system design and engineering services for the integration of the already existing Rail Control Systems into a purpose built Rail Operation Centre. It will be the remote control of train systems for the safe movement of trains.You will provide the development and build of the control systems and networks and provide a range of professional engineering services within time and budget including feasibility studies, concept and detailed designs and prepare documentation to support the design and delivery of the project.
The ideal candidate will come from an Electrical Engineer or Communications background and will meet the following criteria;
Working knowledge of Australiana and relevant international control systems regulations, practices and standards
Knowledge of current emerging control systems technologies relevant to the business to ensure those clients' requirements are met within agreed costs and timeframes
High level oral and written communication, analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise at all levels
Extensive experience with the design of high availability safety critical control systems, in particular to railway applications
Extensive experience in undertaking complex control system designs based on a sound Systems Engineering approach.
Sound knowledge of the design process including the design competency requirements for control systems.
Tertiary qualifications in electrical, computer system, telecoms or other relevant engineering degree
