Description
Infrastructure Designer/Architect (Technical Specialist) required for our major Financial Services client based in Glasgow.
The right candidate will have a broad range of technical expertise including as much of the following as possible; RedHat Linux 6, Solaris 10, AIX 6.1, WINDOWS 2008, WINDOWS XP & 7, Oracle R11g2, Microsoft SQLserver 2008, VMWare ESX 5, CITRIX XenDesktop v5.5, IBM WebSphere Application Server (Ideally WAS Ver. 8), IBM WebSphere MQ Series 7, EMC & DELL disk storage arrays and Symantec backup & recovery solution.
You must have experience interpreting requirements and creating high level designs to devise successful technical solutions. You must also have demonstrable experience in working closely with colleagues, SMEs and business partners, facilitating technical workshops and driving execution. The ideal candidate will also have good planning, time management and presentation skills as well as the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills and a consultative and professional approach are essential.
