Description
A leading Financial Services organisation is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join their team on an initial 12 month engagement (with a view to extend further).
Joining an established team in refurbished offices in the south of Sydney, the successful candidate will be responsible for using their strong knowledge and experience with Juniper/Checkpoint Firewalls and F5 Load Balancer to contribute to the ongoing build, design, implementation and operational support of the organisation's network security services. This position will have a 70/30 split between project and BAU work.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry certifications
- Demonstrated Network Security Engineering experience gained within large, complex environments
- Excellent knowledge and experience in the build, configuration and support of Juniper and Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco Routers and Switches and F5 Load Balancer (GTM and LTM)
- Experience managing network and security performance by monitoring, troubleshooting, reporting and continuous improvement so as to optimise performance
- Strong team work skills with the ability to work independently and proactively as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with superior documentation skills
