Senior Oracle DBA Contract Dublin 12-24 Months.
My client a leading global name is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Senior Oracle DBA to join them on a contract basis.
My client is looking for you to design, develop, test and implement quality Oracle database solutions within defined time scales. You will have responsibility for undertaking complex technical assignments and leading work both within their own department and across the wider IS group. Candidates will proactively monitor, report, troubleshoot, escalate and resolve technical issues with Oracle databases. You will work with project teams and business users to analyse business and technical requirements. You will perform database and system maintenance activities as required. You will analyse, plan and implementing database upgrade/migration projects; You will also Support Oracle database environments across development, test and production
Successful candidates will have 5+ years of commercial experience with Oracle 11g and 12c environments; You will have strong experience of managing and administering Oracle database in a Linux environment. Candidates will be required to Support and improve the Database capability to ensure 24x7 availability for critical IS Services. Candidates will have experience of Oracle Database cloning/refreshes procedures; as well as be able to demonstrate experience of Implementation of Oracle database patches and upgrades. You will have Proficiency of Database Backup and Recovery procedures (RMAN), familiarity with CommVault preferential; you will manage Database security in accordance with industry best practice. You will be knowledgeable in capacity planning, availability planning, performance tuning and metrics analysis.
