T4S Solutions are partnering a Global IT Services and Solutions Provider based in Belgium. We are searching for a Network & System engineer for a 12 month extendable mission working in the Infrastructure Management Operations team.
The main tasks will be:
- to perform a computer network "assessment"within the clients public network
- provide an insight into how effective network control and practices are, ie its compliance to internal and external network and security policies and regulations and designed architectures
- build an inventory of all existing documentation and diagrams, operational processes and procedures;
- review the collected information, identify gaps and propose recommendations (environment and process);
- design and support the implementation of those recommendations in accordance with the defined ITIL processes and procedures;
- hand-over to operations including training
Knowledge and skills
- Proven experience in perform computer network assessments or audits;
- Understanding of network related HLD and prepare supporting LLD;
- Very good knowledge of network administration including operation and management of routing, switching, Firewalling, VPN and load balancer devices and services;
- Understand all concepts and best practices of network segregation and zoning; working experience in such an environment;
- Practical experience using monitoring tools: Cacti, Solarwinds, Nessus, Anomaly Detective, Splunk or similar;
- Experience with debugging tools such as Wireshark;
- Ability to write technical notes in English;
- Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working;
- Good communication skills ;
- Quick learning ability is required, being organized, versatile and a results-oriented team player;
- Experience in providing support for an enterprise environment;
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies and environments.
- Minimum 2 network-related technical certification: Cisco CCDP/CCNP, CCNA, CCDE/CCIE, CCAR or relevant certifications issued by F5, Juniper, Palo Alto or others;
- ITILv3 Foundation certification;
- Must Speak English
- French/Dutch is a bonus
