SOLUTION ARCHITECT
THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS - 9 MONTH CONTRACT - UP TO 4 DAYS PER WEEK

The Role
My client is looking 1 FTE equivalent of Solution Architecture/Design services to support activities in the area of IT Infrastructure.
The main areas of work will be:
- Supporting creation of an Infrastructure roadmap
- Supporting network infrastructure architecture and design activities
- Supporting network migration projects
- Supporting design and implementation of continuous deployment platforms.
The Contractors staff shall work closely with the Enterprise Architect (regarding roadmap development) and network Engineers (regarding solution architecture and design).
Required knowledge and experience
The Solution Architect on IT Infrastructure must have the following knowledge and experience:
- MUST have expert knowledge on IT network infrastructure technology and protocols (full OSI stack including physical cabling, switching, MPLS, VRF, IP, routing, multimedia, network virtualisation, Firewalls, load balancing, etc.) - at least 5 years
- MUST have knowledge of, and experience with Cisco network equipment - at least 2 years
- Knowledge on architecture frameworks: Archimate, TOGAF.
- Working knowledge of VMWare NSX - at least 2 years
- Knowledge of VOIP and Skype for Business protocols and implementations
Experience:
- MUST: acting as a Solution Architect and/or Designer on comparable network architecture/design projects in organisations of comparable size - at least 5 years and at least 2 comparable projects
- MUST: good communication skills on both operational engineering and management level
- MUST: good interpersonal skills and analytical skills
- MUST: ability to write clear and concise solution architecture and modelling documentation that aligns to EPO solution architecture and design guidelines.
- Being active in a multi-cultural environment, the Contractor shall have a very good level of English.
